I call this little fellow my “Garden Gnome” because of his petal-shaped collar and “blooming” trousers. With a ruffled collar, he looks more like a jolly clown. You decide: patterns and instructions for both collar styles and two hat variations are included.
The floppy dolls in my photos have flat, unstuffed bodies. This design is also charming when lightly stuffed.
Finished size of doll is approximately 11 inches, not including cap.
Pattern includes detailed, step-by-step instructions, fully illustrated with color photos, plus full-size printable pattern templates.
Best fabric choices for the cap and collar are crisp or soft woven cottons. The body works well in a variety of fabrics, including woven cottons, flannels, cotton interlock, or even velour.
